Elizabeth Wexler, LMSW

Liz is a Long Island local, earning her bachelor's degree from St. Joseph’s College and her Master's in Social Work from Adelphi University in 2012. She has many years of experience, with a wide range of ages and in many different settings; including at Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York and Acadia Nursing Home. She has been working as a psychiatric Social Worker at Stony Brook University Hospital since 2017 and is the primary Social Worker on their inpatient psychiatric child and adolescent unit exclusively since 2020. She also has experience as a psychotherapist with Resilience Psychiatry in East Setauket, providing both individual and group therapy to adults and children. Liz pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and supportive psychotherapy in her practice.
